Architecture & Design
Film Festival

The Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival is an annual event that brings the world’s best architecture and design films to key cities across New Zealand.

For seven years, I co-curated - and later solely curated - the festival, deepening my engagement with architecture and design, urban planning, environmental activism and social change.

Tasked with researching, sourcing, selecting (and negotiating the rights) the finest films in the field, I spent countless summer hours screening and refining a lineup of 18–20 standout titles each year.

Beyond curation, I managed the festival budget and led the design of posters and programmes, including a major rebrand in our second year. This rebrand not only elevated the festival’s national presence but also strengthened its visual connection with our major sponsor, Resene Paints. Each year, we developed a custom colour palette that was woven across all brand touchpoints - from print materials to digital platforms - creating a cohesive and distinctive identity.

On the copywriting front, I crafted the festival programme content, along with nationwide PR and digital communications, ensuring a compelling and consistent voice across all channels.

Huge thanks to the collaborators who worked with me on the festival over the years: Tracey Lee, Akiko Kurematsu, Yasmine Ganley, Heath Lowe & Zofia Seymour.
